Look who’s flown into my life this week! First, I finished a little something for a little someone who is turning two years old. (Is it really possible that is has been two years already?)
If you’re a knitting sort of person, definitely check out the designer’s blog, needled, which contains a blend of Scottish locale and lore, knitting design and reflections on recovering from a stroke as a relatively young, healthy person. Very interesting.
Then I went to the library and picked up a bookI had put on hold for me. Yesterday morning began with a cup of black coffee and several long, quiet moments reading poetry while Claire played by herself. It was unexpected and wonderful.
After that, we discovered a little treasure at the bottom of a drawer full of handcarved buttons. I love shopping at Maiwa Supply – the woman working there opened up a huge drawer of buttons and let both girls dig through it while I examined the yarn. WIN.
Have you made any unexpected discoveries lately?
