We’d been planning on going out to a ‘fancy restaurant’ with grandma for many months, practicing polite manners at home and everything. She was totally thrilled to be really there in the moment, and feeling very grownup indeed. :)

Just lovely! Brings me back to the afternoon tea my sisters and I enjoyed in London one Christmas … nearly a decade ago! Gasp!
It really was a treat – the ritual and the fancy china and the teeny tiny sandwiches. And Devonshire cream on sweet scones. Yum!
