Oh, wow. Snow doesn’t look like that around here.
Vancouver is strange – the city is totally grey and rainy, but drive 30 minutes to the mountains and it’s an alpine wonderland. I can’t believe this is the first time we’ve been snowshoeing in the 4 years we’ve been here!
What mountain did you go to? I think we’re going to try and do the same later this month.
This is the Dog Mountain trail at Mt. Seymour. We rented snowshoes from MEC (which is cheaper than the rentals on the mountain) and hiked the BC parks trail (which is free). It’s about 2.5k to get out to the peak of Dog Mountain, but on a clear day it’s totally worth the effort.
Wow! I love that first shadow picture. It all looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to try this with my girls (in a few years, though, not that brave yet!)…
Visiting from Natural Parents Network!
It was pretty good even with our littles, but the one thing to watch out for is making sure a baby or toddler being carried is warm enough. We all stayed warm by walking, but she was just sitting there and was quite cold by the end. More layers the next time!
