I know it’s blurry, and the exposure’s not right, and I’m blinking and there’s a giant pile of laundry in the background. But it captures the moment – Claire’s first haircut!
She’s definitely not a baby anymore.

And oh, that smile!
Awww I love it! What a great smile :)
Aw, the first hair cut! I was a big, sappy mess when our little one got his first a few months ago! It’s amazing how that one little thing makes them suddenly look like a “kid,” isn’t it?
Well, our first haircut ended (and began) in tears, so I’m glad at least the recipient is happy! I know totally what you mean, though — I swear I get sad every time I cut Mikko’s hair. It always makes him look so grown-up.
my mom kept the hair from my first haircut in an envelope until well.. until her death i suppose. it was a bit creepy. but i’m sure it was an important day for her… although it’s one i can’t particularly remember.
i noticed that another person who commented on your blog is named dawn. that’s so weird. i hardly ever meet other people name dawn (or even see that anyone else has my name like randomly running across this).
